Col. Musa Shehu (Rtd.) retired from the Nigerian Army in 1999 after several years of meritorious service in Nigeria. He was on the country's entourage on several military peace keeping and observer missions outside Nigeria at different times during the course of his military career. Some of the countries include Tchad Republic, Iran and Iraq.
In the course of his military career, he also served as Military Administrator of Rivers State between 1996 and 1998, and of Plateau State from 1998 to 1999. Col. Musa Shehu (Rtd.) is a nonexecutive director on the Board of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc. Currently; he is the Secretary- General of the Arewa Consultative Forum.
